Deep navy inset cabinetry, top and bottom, with a brass band around the hood and long brass pulls on every door. Counters and the full-height backsplash are a white stone with fine veining. The island seats four on white upholstered stools with brass legs.
Some of the upper cabinet fronts are antiqued mirror rather than glass, so the run reflects the room instead of showing what is inside it. Brass drum pendants hang over the island, the refrigerator is panelled to match, and the wall ovens are stainless.
The renovation carried past the kitchen into the living space, where a large-format travertine surround frames a linear gas fireplace and a wide-plank pale oak floor runs through both rooms.
